Business Studies

The mission of the Business Studies department is to provide academic Business Studies education in a challenging, caring and supportive environment.  We foster a positive, supportive and challenging atmosphere in the classroom where we inform and engage students in an ever-changing subject.

We are very proud of our excellent results where 93% of GCSE students achieved A* – C and 100% of A Level/BTEC level 3 students achieved A* – C.  This continues to build on a well-established, successful department that caters for the needs of all pupils.

We provide an environment for all students to succeed; especially those who may need additional time and tutorial guidance to ensure that they reach their full potential.  Opportunities are provided for more able and talented students to test their skills, through the University of South Wales Share Challenge activity.

The department offers a suite of courses that are academic in nature, challenging in content and universally recognised for their worth. We teach the subject in a lively, dynamic manner so that students are enthused by it and wish to achieve the very best grade that they can.  We have a suite of rooms that include two ICT rooms and a large teaching room.  The department is staffed by two full time teachers.
